Overview:As an Aerospace/Industrial Painter you will play a crucial role in the aerospace industry by applying protective coatings to aircraft and aerospace components. Your attention to detail and expertise in color matching and surface finishing will ensure that the aerospace equipment meets industry standards and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning sanding and masking aerospace components
  • Apply primers paints and sealants using spray guns and other equipment
  • Perform precise color matching to meet specified requirements
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards throughout the painting process
  • Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
  • Maintain and clean painting equipment and tools
  • Read and interpret work orders and technical specifications
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to meet project deadlines
  • Document work and materials used in the painting process
  • Follow proper waste disposal procedures for hazardous materials
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proven experience as an aerospace or industrial painter
  • Knowledge of painting techniques and surface preparation methods
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Understanding of safety regulations and precautions for handling hazardous materials
  • Proficiency in using spray guns sanders and other painting equipment
  • Attention to detail and color perception for accurate color matching
  • Strong physical stamina and dexterity to work in confined spaces and at heights
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions effectively
  • Willingness to adhere to strict quality and safety standards
  • Certification in hazardous materials handling is a plus
  • Previous experience in aerospace industry preferred
  • Knowledge of different coating materials and their applications
  • Capability to adapt to changing production schedules and priorities
