Position Title: Senior Accountant

Position Overview: The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing various financial activities within our client's organization. This role involves managing accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and supporting strategic financial decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles specifics.


Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Consolidate financial data from multiple sources and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records and reports.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor budget vs. actual performance and provide variance analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data for budgeting and forecasting processes.

General Ledger Management:

  • Maintain general ledger accounts and perform reconciliations.
  • Record and review journal entries for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and financial regulations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or relevant certification preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
