Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond?Dallas Airfoil Repair Operations (DARO) is looking for a high energy, dynamic Operations Supervisor (Cell Leader M2) to oversee repair operations. You will be able to develop your leadership skills by leading the day-to-day operations team where you will collaborate with the leads of various business functions (i.e. engineering, quality, information technology, etc.). You are accountable for leading continuous process improvement opportunities, and critical resource allocation to ensure that business metrics are met. Excellent organization, prioritization, and interpersonal skills are important. This person will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, organizing, and summarizing information for regular reports and processes.This role reports to the Operations Manager and will be supporting 2nd and 3rd shift operations. Typical working hours are 12:00PM 10:00AM, Monday Thursday (4 x 10 work schedule). Training is available and may be required on our 1st shift for up to 3 months.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and direction with emphasis on team building through employee meetings, effective communications, and in developing an efficient team that is responsible for engine assembly.Establish standards and expectations for work effort and performance for subordinates. Give constant feedback on performance to those standards. Communicate with other department personnel and customers to ensure customer satisfaction and actively to address issues and engage the workforce in achieving production goals.Coach employees to improve performance when needed.Maintain training, quality, and attendance records.Manage cell overtime and equitably distribute among employees.Ensure department equipment is clean, properly maintained, records and labels properly affixed, and uptime optimized while meeting all safety requirements.Ensure that all employees are fully trained in required aspects of Environmental Health & Safety.Ensure World Class safety culture is maintained and respond to all Environmental Health & Safety requirements promptly.Ensure full involvement in CORE continuous improvement initiatives is consistently upheld.Utilize CORE tools to improve production, performance, and reduce scrap, rework, and repair.Ensure compliance to all Quality policies and procedures.Control quality, productivity, and process flow to meet customer MRP requirements while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.Qualifications You Must HaveAdvanced degree and 6+ months of experience in Military, Manufacturing, Business Operations Management, Engineering, Aerospace or Aftermarket industry; OR Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant industry experience; OR Associate's degree and 4+ years of relevant industry experience; OR High School diploma or Military / Technical Training and 6+ years of relevant industry experienceQualifications We PreferDegree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)Personnel management experience, particularly within a bargaining unit / union workforce environment.Proven ability to lead mentoring, coaching, developing talent and motivate teams to achieve business goals.Ability to read and interpret technical data, blueprints, and engineering drawings.Organizational and project management skills, PMP certification preferred.Aftermarket Aerospace and Overhaul and Repair (MRO) industry experienceWorking knowledge of shop practices, quality standards, processes and proceduresUnderstanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma, QCPC and RCCA).Experience using Microsoft Office, SAP, MRP materials management, and MS Office Suite.Ability to work and effectively communicate with all levels of management, shop personnel and customers.What is My Role Type?In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work.
