Lead Low-latency C++ Engineer - Prop Trading ~$1m

A secretive Prop Trading client is hiring a lead C++ engineer to spearhead an ambitious next-generation FPGAA accelerated trading system, capable of meeting micro-second "tick to trade" targets.


Role:

You will be partnering with the CTO and HFT Research teams, whilst leading your own small team of engineers tasked with the design, and implementation of a scalable high-throughput, and ultra-low-latency trading platform built entirely in modern C++ (C++ 20 or newer). This is a genuine greenfield project, you will have a clean slate with no legacy technology.

  • 60% Hands-on coding and systems design
  • 40% Project management and team management

Team Responsibilities:

Your team will be tasked with working on all aspects of the trading system

  • Write a lot of asynchronous, template, and thread-safety code
  • Build, maintain, and support the trading platform while continuously improving the performance, functionality, and stability of the system


Hard requirements:

  • 7+ Years experience working on Low Latency Trading Systems capable of executing trades in microseconds or even nanoseconds.
  • Excellent Low-latency C++
  • Bachelor in Computer Science or Similar


Budget: ~$1m (as always, this is negotiable)
