LEAD LPN

Primary Purpose:

The Lead LPN serves as the main liason between the Unit Manager/Nurse Supervisor and the LPNs. Main duties include training new LPNs, monitoring LPN assignments, and rallying the team to provide quality service.

Shifts available: 3-11 and 11-7

Specific functions:

  • Assist residents with their personal care needs
  • Ensure LPNs are able to complete their assignments
  • Coach the team members in providing quality service that is aligned with the values of the company
  • Ensure a pleasant environment for residents and their family members
  • Provide orientation and review of clinical skills to help develop competencies of LPN peers
  • Assist the Nursing Supervisor/Unit Manager in orienting and training new LPNs
  • Assist in providing reeducation for LPNs that are unable to meet the standard of care of the company
  • Participate in the LPN hiring process and other administrative tasks as needed
  • Provide input to Nursing department heads for the improvement of resident care
