The 4 South Medical Surgical department at St. Anthony North Hospital, an achieved Magnet® Hospital, is 30-bed unit which treats cardiac, neuro and med-surg patients. This includes a variety of diagnoses, including CHF, COPD, Chest Pain, MI, GI bleeds, post-catheterization, TIA, TR bands, and stroke. We receive overflow from anywhere in the hospital if they have a cardiac or neuro issue, provided they meet unit criteria. Our mission is to provide excellent patient-centered care with teamwork and compassion. Our department appeals to anyone interested in furthering their skillset, specifically in the realms of cardiac or neurological patients and who wishes to be part of an amazing group of talented nurses who are genuinely passionate about the care of our patients. Our unit wishes to attract someone who can operate safely in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude and who is always willing to lend a hand. We value our incredible Certified Nursing Assistants and want to ensure they practice at the top of their license to better optimize their skills and experience. We've also developed a career path framework for CNAs that clarifies paths to move, develop and advance CNA careers into nursing and other roles. The Certified Nursing Assistants provides direct and indirect nursing care under the direction of a RN and in accordance with policies and procedures. Job Requirements In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: Six months previous CNA experience preferred Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English Basic computer skills Previous customer service experience preferred High School diploma or GED required Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program required State registered CNA license required Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Training preferred. CPI training required if sitting with M-1 holds Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
