Industrial Maintenance Technician II Rotational Night ShiftAs a leading manufacturer of exterior building solutions in North America, we are committed to creating value for our customers and our communities.Job DescriptionJob DetailsBase Pay: $25 - $40 per hour plus $1.50 per hourRotational Night Shift: 6pm-6am or 5am-5pm (2-3-2)Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintenance Technician II is an Electro-Mechanical position and responsibilities will include but not be limited to supporting manufacturing operations, adjusting and repairing equipment as needed, tracking usage of and ordering replacement parts.Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipmentPerform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustmentsRepair and keep mechanical machine components in top operating conditionPerform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructionsIntermediate understanding of electrical principles such as voltage, current and resistanceDiagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, photo eyes, etc.Intermediate understanding of electrical safety and motor control circuits and programmable drives Troubleshoot the inputs and outputs on PLC and repair issuesComplete projects to add electrical circuits and controls, new equipment and relocate machinesMaintain and repair pneumatic systems including repairs of cylinders and other componentsPerform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructionsEnter all work completed in computer-based maintenance programMonitor and report spare parts usage including completing parts order formsAdjust equipment based on Statistical Process Control data and team with QATrain new and Level 1 mechanics in more complex tasks and skillsQualificationsAssociate degree in related field is desiredMinimum 3 years' maintenance experience in a manufacturing environmentKnowledge of and experience with Lock-Out, Tag-Out proceduresAble to strictly adhere to safety policies/procedures and be committed to customer qualityMust be available for regular standby assignments; work scheduled off-hours and emergency overtime as requiredProficient in Word and ExcelMust be willing to attend training sessions as needed, including out-of-state locationsAbility to assist in Training Level I TechniciansIntermediate knowledge of fabrication (ex. welding, basic machining)Possess strong work ethic and knowledge of intermediate troubleshootingAble to read printed materials, blueprints, schematics, and computer graphicsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and within a team, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships employees, vendors, contractors, and suppliersAbility to show attention to detail in a very fast paced environmentFlexible and willing to work overtime as requiredPhysical Demands:The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to stand and sit for long periods, as well as occasionally be required to climb or balance.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.Exposure to variable temperatures as impacted by the weather, chemicals, and rotating shiftsWork Environment:Mainly a manufacturing facility, where exposed to moving mechanical parts, forklifts, heavy pallets, moderate to loud noise level, and air-borne dust, powders, and fumes. While working, will be required to wear various personal protective equipment (e.g., clothing, gloves, goggles, safety glasses, steel toed shoes, cut resistant aprons, etc.) based on work area or task.
