Mid-Level Superintendent OpportunityOur client is seeking a mid-level Superintendent to join a large client of ours in the Nashville area. Collaborating closely with the Project Manager, this individual will oversee all aspects of job site safety, quality control, and project scheduling. Your expertise will ensure that construction activities align with project requirements and industry standards.Responsibilities include:Preparing detailed and timely daily reports.Incorporating/reviewing subcontractor's daily reports for issues, coordination, and claim avoidance.Assisting with development of work scopes and front-end documents for bidding to create clear and concise scopes of work, assists with bid process, including participation in post-bid interviews and answering bidder questions, identifies potential contractors to bid based on project requirements and ability to perform intended scope.Enforcing corporate safety policies on jobsite, including pre-task safety planning and providing key responsibility for safety compliance in the field.Ensuring project rules and procedures are maintained and checking progress and quality of work being performed.Observing and interfacing with contractors or trades to enforce responsibilities, monitor work performance and productivity, and coordinate project changes.Overseeing creation and completion of punch list process.Supervising, coordinating, and sequencing contractor's work to minimize interference between various contractors on the project.Initiating set-up of project schedule; maintaining and managing schedule, including preparation of detailed short-term schedules and ensuring all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled dates.Assisting with inspection process and leading contractor coordination meetings.Organizing/managing day-to-day on-site field labor force.Assisting with initiation of set-up of jobsite, including mobilization of trailer and setup of field and processes.Assisting PM with management of overall budget and forecasting of usage, by helping to control cost and monitoring potential changes from contractors, including time and materials.Developing site logistics plans for entire project with assistance to maximize productivity and minimize impacts to building occupants.
