We are currently seeking *Recreation Therapist*
The *Recreation Therapist* position is a *full-time* non-exempt position responsible for providing a current and comprehensive program of activities for MPTF residents in accordance with their interests and abilities. This position uses surveys/questionnaires to determine the types of programs required and assesses the recreational needs of residents using appropriate forms and documentation tools. The Recreation Therapist assists in long-range planning for the Recreation Program and in developing department policies and procedures.
*Requires:*
· Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy and California Therapeutic Recreation license (RTR) preferred
· Minimum two years of experience as a Recreational Therapist in a geriatric environment required; experience in evaluating resident needs
· Thorough knowledge of the Recreation Therapy field
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and ability to work in an automated environment
· Ability to work independently and work well with other professionals
