Veterinary Assistant Position at VCA Kaneohe Animal HospitalVCA Kaneohe Animal Hospital located in Kaneohe, Hawaii is looking for a Veterinary Assistant. Location: 45-608 Kamehameha Hwy, Kaneohe, HI 96744 Compensation: $18/hr Schedule: 4/10's with every other weekend required. Full-time Opportunity. We need an Experienced Veterinary Assistant (minimum 2 years) to provide excellent patient care with a focus on wellness and client education. We are willing to train the right person. Veterinary Assistants are responsible for preparing exam rooms for the doctors and assist in providing care for the patients hospitalized in the treatment area. VCA Kaneohe Animal Hospital is located on the windward side of the beautiful island of Oahu. We are a fun, family-oriented team that encourages every individual to be successful in their role. The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to: Restraining and assisting in patient exams and routine procedures. Taking detailed medical histories and patient vitals. Filling prescriptions (as allowed by law). Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging. Providing compassionate care for our hospitalized animals. Maintaining medical records. Assisting our wonderful Doctor and Technician staff as needed.
