Competitive pay PTO 401k Medical, Dental, Health Job Details Job Details: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Project Accountant with a strong background in the construction industry. This role is integral to the financial health of our company and will require a hands-on approach to managing all aspects of our accounting functions. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in job cost, job costing, payroll, and construction practices, with proficiency in using Viwpoint by Vista and Excel. Responsibilities: 1. Maintain and manage all financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. 2. Prepare and analyze reports on job cost and job costing, providing insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance. 3. Administer payroll functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates. 4. Work closely with project managers to create budgets, track expenses, and forecast future costs. 5. Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures. 6. Conduct regular ledger maintenance and reconciliation. 7. Prepare accurate quarterly and annual tax reports. 8. Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance. 9. Interact with management to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations. Qualifications: 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry. 2. Solid understanding of financial and accounting principles. 3. Proficiency in job cost and job costing procedures. 4. Experience in administering payroll in a construction setting. 5. Proficiency in using Viewpoint ERP and Excel for financial analysis and reporting preferred.
