Individual will perform machine setup and operate machines as needed.Machine parts per print for customer orders at various workstations throughout the ABM Department. Complies with current ISO requirements, all safety requirements, and good housekeeping
A Day In The Life- Responsible for performing setup on ABM machines; including, tooling changes and tooling adjustments to ensure continued conformance to specifications.
- Responsible for operation of ABM machines; including, loading bar stock, filling fluids, and removing chips from machine.
- Responsible for conformance with quality specifications.
- Ability to trouble shoot machines and complete maintenance activities as needed.
- Ability to assist in training others on operation and setup of ABM machines.
- Track components and tools used on ABM machines, e.g., hydraulic fittings/hoses, motors, drill heads, hydraulic cylinders, saw blades, drills, taps, etc.
- Assist with the scheduling of machines by coordinating with planning/scheduling of production orders
- Assist with training additional set-up personnel.
- To operate machinery per requirements of the print specifications, shop order, and inspection charts.
- Mechanically inclined- Individual needs to be good with tools and machinery and can adapt quickly to fixing things both familiar and unfamiliar.
- Mathematical Skills- Ability to perform standard mathematical concepts to effectively make machine adjustments. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Reasoning Ability- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Computer Skills- To perform this job successfully, an individual should haveOther Skills and Abilities- Must be detail oriented. Must be organized and have the ability and drive to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
