The primary function of this position is to accurately calculate and process payroll on a weekly basis. This position requires accuracy, attention to detail, problem solving, and analytical skills. You will also handle bookkeeping and payroll functions for two other, smaller business, operated by the owner. JOB DUTIES:Process payroll on a weekly basisAccurately calculate commissionsIdentify and correct discrepancies and errorsRecord financial transactions accurately and efficiently Process accounts payable and receivablePrepare journal entriesPrepare weekly and monthly sales reportsReconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are properly recordedHandle all insurance, worker’s compensation, and unemployment claimsProcess benefits enrollmentsFile monthly sales tax reportsPrepare annual 1099sSubmit yearly state filingsComplete yearly insurance auditsQUALIFICATIONS:Minimum 5 years experience as a BookkeeperMinimum 5 years experience processing payrollProficient in QuickBooks OnlineIntermediate Excel skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent organizational skills with strong attention to detailMust be assertive Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretionSCHEDULE:Monday through Friday32 – 40 hours per weekFlexible ScheduleIn office, not remote Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Plumbing isn’t just about leaks, pipes, and gaskets.
