WANDER STAFFING seeks to add an Operating Room Registered Nurse to our Team ASAP This position is located at the Northern Navajo Medical Center in Shiprock, NM, which is near the larger cities of Farmington, NM, and Durango, CO.

Schedule:

  • Shift work Monday-Friday

Highlights:

  • Competitive Pay: $120/hour - all-inclusive rate. This includes $90/hour plus $166/day to cover lodging, meals & incidentals
  • Work/life balance

HOSPITAL INFO:

  • Size of the hospital: Small, level IV center
  • Types of cases: Bread and Butter (Gen, podiatry, some ortho, some OB, rare C-sections, GI. No cardiac, no neuro)
  • They only do the rare spinal for OB (no epidural service)

Professional Requirements:

  • Additional Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Minimum of one (3) years of nursing experience with (2) years of relative experience within the last three (3)-years
  • Possess a current and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands
  • U.S. citizen
  • Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate
  • Physically capable of standing and sitting for extended periods and performing all services required under the contract

Operating Room RN Specific Core Duties.

The ability to perform the following procedures as an OR registered nurse is required but not limited to:

  • Assist surgeons and Anesthesiologists with complex or potentially life-threatening procedures such as insertion of invasive lines, chest tubes, tracheotomies or removal of foreign bodies from the trachea/Endotracheal tubes and nasogastric tubes
  • Conscious/moderation sedation
  • Pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative care
  • Recover post-surgical patients including post-cesarean section patients under general anesthesia
  • Administer and support infusion therapy services
