Company Overview:

We are a leading provider of healthcare IT solutions, dedicated to delivering innovative technologies that enhance patient care and streamline healthcare operations. We are currently seeking a Contract Data Migration Analyst to support our client in migrating legacy MEDITECH & Meta (Cantata Pharmacy) data into the Cerner platform. This is a critical project that will contribute to the successful implementation of Cerner and improve the efficiency of healthcare delivery.

Position Overview:

You will be responsible for managing and participating in the formatting of data from MEDITECH and Meta into the Cerner uploads format. This role will support mapping, testing, and validation efforts to ensure accurate and seamless data migration. The vendor will lead the initial data loading and testing/validation, MedSys will take the lead for subsequent data loads during the future go-lives.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand data migration requirements and objectives.
  • Participate in the formatting of legacy MEDITECH and Meta data into the Cerner uploads format, ensuring compatibility and accuracy.
  • Support mapping efforts to identify data relationships and transformations between systems.
  • Conduct testing and validation activities to verify the integrity and completeness of migrated data.
  • Work closely with Cerner and client teams to coordinate data migration activities and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Document data migration processes, procedures, and outcomes for future reference and auditing purposes.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance during data migration phases and post-implementation.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in data migration projects within the healthcare industry, preferably involving MEDITECH, Meta, and Cerner.
  • 1+ year(s) experience working with Cerner systems.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation and transformation using SQL, ETL tools, and scripting languages.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve data-related issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data standards and regulations, (such as HL7, FHIR, HIPAA, and HITECH).
