We believe that while good design makes for a good product, human-centered design makes for an excellent one.ContributionsAs an Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive onboarding and training program in support of our Federal client. You will work as part of a cross-functional teamincluding designers and technical expertsengaging with stakeholders and end-users to develop an effective approach and ensure adoption of new systems and processes.Responsibilities:Outline and understand end users to create training appropriate to meet their diverse needsAnalyze existing training materials and business processes to identify learning gaps/needs and opportunities for improvementResearch appropriate learning content and coordinate with Subject Matter Experts to structure learning pathsDevelop interactive and engaging training materials using a variety of modalities (videos, user guides, gamified learning, etc.) with learner theories in mind (ADDIE, Bloom's, SAM, etc.) to create dynamic learning experiencesDetermine utilization of knowledge checks and compliance trackingLead the training development and deliveryEstablish metrics and measure user adoptionFacilitate learning management system administration, usage, and develop feedback loop for enhancementConsider long-term governance for sustaining training programs and materialsQualificationsAbility to obtain a U.S. government Public Trust Security Clearance4+ years of experience in Education, Training, HR, or related fieldThorough knowledge of the full training life cycle and demonstrated ability to develop and implementKnowledge of contemporary learning management software platformsExperience with traditional and modern training methods, tools, and techniquesAbility to convey complex information in a way that people understandExperience collaborating within a multi-disciplinary delivery team including UX/UI designers, technologists, data scientists, engineers, solution architects, and change managersA collaborative nature with excellent written communication and presentation skillsFamiliarity with Design Thinking and a natural curiosity for solving problems coupled with strong analytical skillsExperience working in a project-based environmentProficiency in MS Office and in database softwareBachelor's degree and 7+ total years of experience or equivalent experience in Training and Instructional Design and educationMust be able to travel across US (10%)Bonus PointsPrevious work experience in or with the federal governmentPrevious work experience as a consultantExperience working with SalesforceAbout SteampunkIdentity StatementAs part of the application process, you are expected to be on camera during interviews and assessments. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,000 to $140,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position. Annual salary is just one aspect of Steampunk's total compensation package for employees.
