Human Resources Coordinator

Position Summary

Everyone needs the support of others. As the Human Resources Coordinator at Bellmont Cabinet Company you will be one of those special people. The HR Coordinator is critical to the success of the Human Resources Department and will exemplify Bellmont’s Core Values every day. Under supervision and direction of the Human Resources Manager, the HR Coordinator will handle a variety of day-to-day human resource tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to the HR Generalist or HR Manager.
  • Under direction of the HR Manager, promotes the company’s core value of FUN by coordinating and facilitating company events (i.e., All Company BBQ’s, Holiday Party, Blue Friday spirit competitions, Anniversary lunches etc.).
  • Maintains schedule and coordinates calendar activities.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource records for employees by recording the hiring, transfer, termination, change in position/department, and merit increases.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Verifies I-9 documentation and maintains that they are current.
  • Assists with payroll functions including, answering employee questions, garnishment administration, fixing processing errors, benefits approval, etc.
  • Under the established recruitment guidelines of direction of the HR Manager, assists with the recruitment and interview process, tracking the status of candidates, and sending follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process.
  • Creates HR communications, makes photocopies, mails, emails, and scans or faxes documents and performs other administrative functions.
  • Champions employee orientation, on-boarding, and training programs.
  • Tracks employee related leaves of absences (i.e., FMLA, ADA, Washington Paid Leave), keeps in contact with employees on leave, and communicates to the HR Manager and Supervisors expected return dates.
  • Sends electronic onboarding paperwork, ensures its completion prior to new employee start date, and prepares new employee electronic files.
  • Assists in the exit interview process and processing of terminations
  • Responds to reference checks, garnishments, and verifications of employment status.
  • After a set amount of time, will back up the company’s HR Generalist processing the company’s bi-weekly payroll
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.

Required Education/Experience

  • A bachelor’s in human resource management, or one to two years’ experience in the HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ Human Resource experience required.
  • HRCI or SHRM certification required


Pay Rate: $22-25 per hour.
