The role involves a blend of technical leadership, project management, and client engagement, focusing on transportation structures such as bridges, culverts, walls, and sign structures. Key Responsibilities: * Lead Design Efforts: Serve as the primary design lead and technical advisor for staff engineers and CAD operators. * Project Management: Oversee tasks and projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery. * Business Development: Assist in pursuing new projects and preparing compelling cost proposals. * Technical Documentation: Generate technical reports, design computations, contract drawings, specifications, and estimates. * Client Interaction: Travel occasionally to project or client sites for task completion or meetings.


Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or relevant field
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant design experience in the structural engineering field.
  • PE License (MA, CT, NH PE license a plus).
  • Familiarity with AASHTO, MassDOT, NHDOT, and/or CTDOT standards.
  • Experience performing design and analysis of transportation structures including bridges, culverts, walls, and sign structures.
  • Familiarity with general-purpose structural analysis software design software
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.

Plusses:

  • Experience with MicroStation.
  • Master’s Degree.
  • 3D finite element analysis experience.
