Annually Paid: We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $41,070 to $67,661 per year. PRIMARY FUNCTION: Assists in the setup, configuration, troubleshooting, analysis, and repairing of computer systems, computer peripherals, and telephones as well as be responsible for responding to service desk tickets as assigned. Maintain reference material and reports in accordance with established procedures or as directed. WORKING PROCEDURE AND/OR RESPONSIBILITY ASSIGNED: THE FOLLOWING ARE THE USUAL MAJOR JOB DUTIES BUT THIS JOB DESCRIPTION DOES NOT PRECLUDE THE PERFORMANCE OF OTHER DUTIES BY THE INCUMBENT, NOR THE QUESTION BEING RAISED ON THE PROPER RATE OF PAY FOR THE ASSIGNMENT. 1. Assist in repairing software and hardware problems including security incident response. 2. Assist in the installation and testing of computer equipment, changes to PC, installs moves and requests related to telephone and audio equipment. 3. Maintain knowledge of hardware, software and maintenance changes affecting operations, and support system performance checks and active directory. 4. Set up and maintain software libraries by processing, storing, and distributing proprietary software and documentation. 5. Ensure the accuracy of software release records and perform necessary file transfers to and from repositories. 6. Create and maintain various data bases. Create, follow, maintain, and update detailed work instructions. 7. Assist in the maintenance of the local IT asset inventory and stockroom DIRECTION RECEIVED: General procedures have been established for most work. Work subject to normal check. Receive specific instructions on new or special work from manager, and occasional guidance from higher classified personnel, including engineers. EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: High school graduate or equivalent plus Associates degree or 60 college credits in a curriculum related to Information Systems principles, or computer science.
