Accounting SpecialistPrideStaff is looking for someone to join a door supplier company as an Accounting Specialist. This position will work in the Accounting Department handling both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable and other accounting related tasks.The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, accuracy and integrity. This position is expected to grow over time; therefore, the ideal candidate will require experience in month/fiscal end closings, processing vendor checks and full cycle general accounting.Location: Charlotte, NC 28208Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00am-4:30pmPay Rate: $23-$25/hourMust be a team player with a positive, "can do" attitude.Must be flexible and willing to assist in any department where neededCandidate should be forward thinkingConstruction background with emphasis on AIA (American Institute of Architects) billing is highly desired.Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of proven accounting/bookkeeping experienceExperience in the commercial construction industry and AIA BillingDetail-oriented, organized, consistent, dependable, and trustworthyExcellent attention-to-detail with strong interpersonal skillsAnalytical/data-driven mindset; good with numbers and spreadsheetsEnthusiastic about learning new skills and software systemsOptimistic and upbeatSelf-Starter comfortable working independentlyExperience in the commercial construction industry and AIA BillingPrimary Responsibilities:Managing accounts payable and accounts receivableAIA Contract BillingReconciling cash, bank accounts and revenuesMaintaining an accurate general ledger, making adjustments as neededGeneral Ledger, month end reports, trial balanceCreating journal entries for all accounts, including fixed assetsMonitoring the business' cash flowDaily invoicing and bank depositsCollections/Aged LedgerPetty Cash distribution/reconciliationRemitting income, sales and use taxesIn addition to the Primary Responsibilities, this position will be cross-trained to provide assistance to the current Accountant.Education:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $23.00 - $25.00 Per Hour
