Industrial Automation Engineer


Our client is a rapidly growing manufacturer and distributor of automated & semi-automated assembly to increase productivity, profitability, and safety in manufacturing flooring. They have made great efforts to develop and manufacture robots of the highest quality and reliability. They are hiring an Industrial Automation Engineer to oversee project planning, blueprint/technical drawings, scripting, and unit testing.

The Industrial Automation Engineer should be well-versed in manufacturing control and automation technologies.

Focus:

  • Oversee EE, design optimization, and configuring mechanical equipment relevant to design needs.
  • Design and formulate programs as necessary, including during the implementation and maintenance of new machinery.
  • Ensure all systems and components of a building are designed, installed, tested, operated, and maintained according to the operational requirements.
  • Be in charge of creating precise diagrams, bills of materials, and circuit designs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments and with customers to address design concerns, reworks, and authorization.
  • Monitor projects and ensure completion of project on schedule, with quality standards, and within budget.
  • Assist with the installation of in-house IT infrastructure and routine communications services.


Skill Set

  • 5+ years of experience designing and implementing automated control systems across complex environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • Hands on experience with programming and hardware including, PLCs, HMI programming, process controls, robotics, network products, and protocols.
  • Firm knowledge of technical tools and techniques within AutoCAD, AB, PLCs, Siemens, robots, and IoT networks.
  • Excellent project management experience, working through full-cycle implementations.
  • Proven ability to write diagrams related to schematic controls.
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong collaboration, multi-tasking, organizational, and communication skills.
