Peak Partners has a regional healthcare client seeking to hire a Cyber Security Analyst. The Analyst will be required to identify, analyze, prioritize, and resolve system issues as they arise as well as develop reports on vulnerability.


The position is a remote work environment but might require a monthly or quarterly visit to headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland so all candidates must live within driving distance to the Baltimore office.


Principal Responsibilities:

  • Configure security tools including virus software, IPS/IDS, password protectors, and vulnerability management software.
  • Evaluate identified needs and use these tools to protect information.
  • Reporting on the activities and vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain the disaster recovery posture of the department and interact with corporate and enterprise Disaster Recovery and business continuity efforts.
  • Evaluate weaknesses and test all company networks and find weaknesses before bad actors or external threats can compromise them.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years’ current work experience dealing with security and disaster recovery planning in an environment subject to the following regulatory requirements:
  • NIST 800-171
  • HITRUST
  • HIPAA
  • Bachelor’s degree in cyber security or related IT field combined with 2 years of related work experience, or additional work experience may substitute for educational requirements.
  • Experience managing security risks in a Wide Area Network configuration.
  • A broad understanding of security technologies including firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus software, and IDPs.
