Desktop EngineerWBS, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Desktop Engineer (IT Infrastructure Consultant) in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin location. Specific functional areas include, but are not limited to: desktop and mobile computing devices, virtual desktop environments, OS customizations and upgrades, image creation and maintenance, security patching, application packaging and distribution and software support.Job ResponsibilitiesCreates and maintains custom corporate images for a variety of Windows-based end user devices.Optimizes OS configurations for peak performance under different operating conditions and environments physical/virtual, on-site/mobile.Manages hardware standards and works closely with vendors to develop and maintain sustainable device roadmaps for all areas of the company.Provides operational 3rd level support and troubleshooting.Develops working knowledge of company-wide systems, equipment, and applications and how they interact to support the business. Work assignments may include 24x7 coverage.May require travel to other locations.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree2+ years of relevant IT experiencePreferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field2+ years of Microsoft Configuration Manager experiencePowerShell scripting experience
