Our mission is to deliver exceptional service and products while fostering a supportive work environment for our employees.Position Summary:Controls Engineer is responsible for controls engineering, programming and service support for commercial control projects. Respond to customer needs by identifying system and product solutions. Assist customers in answering technical control questions. Conduct customer visits, events and training sessions with mechanical engineers, mechanical contractors and building owners. Communicate project changes to team members and customers.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Provide technical sales support to engineers, contractors and building ownersProvide controls training to mechanical engineers, contractors, and ownersGenerate controls proposals that include a detailed scope of work based on project sequence of operations, specification, and drawings in accordance with division standardsCreate sequence of operations, select bill of materials as well as develop comprehensive bid strategies, design network layouts and produce electrical schematicsPerform programming on system and network-level controllersGather project design changes from the field team and create as-built drawings Follow department marketing strategies, policies, and proceduresCreate application notes, technical papers, service notes, and training documentationSecondary Duties and Responsibilities:Answer controls technical support callsAdhere to safety standards with a high degree of regard towards employee and subcontractor safetyCritical Knowledge and Skills:Read architectural, mechanical, and electrical blueprintsUnderstanding of mechanical systems and basic electrical knowledgeExperience with installing programming and commissioning HVAC controllersUnderstand construction documentation, procedures and construction processesProficient at using drafting software applicationsCommunicate effectively and work in a team environmentGood judgment, planning and multi-tasking skillsEducation and Experience:AA/AS degree w/2+ years related experience in the HVAC industry orBS degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or related career fieldExpected Pay Range:Starting range at $75,000 annum, salary can fluctuate depending on relevant experience.** Russell Sigler, Inc.
