Job Summary and Responsibilities: As part of the HCA Nurse Residency Program, you'll develop essential skills for a successful nursing career. This paid residency includes: Advanced training in a specialty area. Monthly educational sessions focused on professional development. Preceptorship with experienced staff. Hands-on skill assessment through simulations. Mentorship from leadership within the nursing team. Collaboration on an evidence-based practice project. Your Role as an RN Resident: Conduct thorough assessments of patient conditions upon admission and during each shift. Perform medical procedures and monitor patient responses, documenting care in medical records. Administer prescribed medications and respond to any adverse effects. Deliver compassionate care, anticipating patient needs and addressing them promptly. Educate patients, families, and caregivers about health conditions and treatment plans in understandable terms. Qualifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within the first year. Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing, completed by start date. Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse status, with NCLEX taken within 90 days of graduation. No prior nursing experience required. Some travel may be necessary for training purposes.
