Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: oFollow and reinforce company safety policies oPrimary communicator with project owners and/or engineers oAttend pre-bid meetings with the owner, vendors, and subcontractors oDevelop a complete and accurate bid proposal including quantity take-off, crew composition, and material and subcontractor pricing oCompare bid pricing to historical data oDevelop budgets and negotiate subcontractor agreements and purchase orders oOutline and communicate specifications for superintendents and foremen oProcure materials and major equipment oNegotiate, secure, and manage subcontracts oMaintain D/W/MBE goals and EEO utilization awareness oPrepare and maintain the project progress and budget oDevelop and maintain project schedule oPerform a variety of tasks that may include periodically having to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods of time, stretch, walk, climb and bend under potentially adverse field conditions and be able to perform visual tasks such as back up spotting and hear and react to back up alarms, per safety protocol Required Qualifications: oA Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management and/or environmental engineering o5-10 years or more progressive experience in heavy civil construction or environmental project management oA record of successfully estimating and managing heavy/highway or environmental construction from $50K to $20M oHave a working knowledge of means and methods, crew composition, and production rates for heavy highway/bridge or environmental remediation oProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and CPM scheduling software with the ability to adapt to a variety of computer applications oCost accounting experience preferred oThe ability to work with a team to complete projects within stated deadlines oStrong attention to detail oExcellent written and oral communication skills oAnalytical and problem-solving skills oMust pass a pre-employment drug screen oMust have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation to report to work on time oPosition will require travel Compensation: Competitive wage commensurate with experience. Base salary range: Level Range of Pay Newburgh Area Project Manager I $80,000-$115,000 Project Manager II $100,000-$140,000 Project Manager III $135,000-$165,000 Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, overtime when applicable, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
