Sr. Data Manager - HubSpot / SQL Server / AWS RDS


DETAILS

Location: 100% Remote, but candidates must be local to Dallas, TX. Candidates will need to attend occasional team meetups for project planning, business reviews, etc.

Position Type: Direct-Hire

Compensation: $165K to $185K

Residency Requirements: MUST be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder to be considered, as no sponsorship is being offered at this time.


ABOUT THE POSITION

GTN Technical Staffing is seeking a Sr. Data Manager for a Direct-Hire, 100% remote opportunity in North Dallas, TX. Our client is creating a new team to build, integrate, and deploy a new Central Database Platform with a focus on Marketing Automation through HubSpot. The Sr. Data Manager will manage people, projects, and data in a SQL Server and AWS RDS environment. The Sr. Data Manager will need to be able to drive projects to completion and needs to have experience with cloud-based Marketing Automation Platforms, preferably HubSpot. Experience with Salesforce Marketing or Marketo is also a nice-to-have, but since HubSpot has been selected as their Marketing Automation Platform, candidates who have built and managed HubSpot, including data validation and integration from SQL Server into HubSpot, will be given preference.


The Sr. Data Manager will be responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and management of data systems and architectures to support our software products and business operations.

  • Central Database Development: Lead the design, development, and implementation of a central database (e.g., CDP) that integrates data from various sources such as Subscription Billing, Marketing Automation, Contact Center, and Customer Support.
  • Data Strategy & Governance: Develop and implement data management strategies to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security. Establish data governance policies and best practices.
  • Database Management: Oversee and manage AWS RDS and SQL Server databases, ensuring performance optimization, data integrity, and reliability.
  • Data Integration: Design and implement data integration solutions to streamline data flow between various systems and applications.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of data analysts and engineers, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
  • Performance Tuning: Monitor database performance and execute tuning processes to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, product managers, and IT, to understand data needs and provide effective solutions.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Oversee the development of reports and dashboards to support business intelligence and decision-making processes.
  • Compliance: Ensure that data management practices comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

7+ years in the following skill sets...

  • Data Management - Proven experience with AWS RDS and SQL Server is essential.
  • SQL Server database management and data integration tools.
  • PowerBI is a plus
  • Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and ETL processes

2+ years with Marketing Automation Platform - HubSpot

  • End-to-end implementation, setup, configuration, and customization
  • Strong understanding on HubSpot's suite of tools including Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, Service Hub, and CRM
  • Platform development and management
  • Data validation, data integration

2+ years in a Lead or Management-level role

  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven ability to mentor and guide a team.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail and data accuracy.
