The External Event Marketing Manager serves as the strategic connector between Partner Marketing, Product, and Sales to deliver a high-impact external events portfolio that drives measurable business outcomes. Acting as a pinch hitter across programs, this role ensures flawless execution while championing innovation beyond the booth. With a data-driven approach, the manager builds sophisticated ROI models, streamlines processes through scalable frameworks, and crafts compelling content that translates product and partner value into customer relevance. This position demands strategic thinking, operational excellence, and cross-functional leadership to elevate event experiences and maximize return on investment.Location and ScheduleWork Location: This is a Work from Home position. Schedule: This role requires flexibility to accommodate event timelines, including evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays. Standard business hours apply for planning and administrative tasks, but on-site presence during events is mandatory. Travel: Travel may be required for off-site events and vendor meetings.The Main ResponsibilitiesLead external event strategy design and creative direction for in-person tier 1 and tier 2 partner-led programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.Define clear engagement models for Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 support, and act as the single point of accountability for partner alignment across channels and the connected ecosystem.Develop scalable event models and templates to streamline execution across multiple programs.Drive sophisticated reporting frameworks to measure event performance, ROI, and strategic impact for leadership.Collaborate with agencies and internal teams to deliver high-quality, brand-compliant experiences.Serve as the primary liaison for Partner Marketing, driving integrated strategies and shared success metrics across all event programs.Prioritize projects that deliver the greatest impact on strategic goals and customer engagement.Coordinate cross-functional stakeholdersincluding Partner, Marcom, IT, and Salesto ensure seamless execution and exceptional user experience.Create innovative, event experiences that go beyond traditional booth activations. Lead brainstorms, research, discovery for how we can support the stakeholder KPIs with new activations.What We Look For in a CandidateRequired:Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of professional experience, or 6+ years with a Master's degree.Experience at major hyperscaler events such as AWS re:Invent, Microsoft Ignite, Cisco Live, or similar.Proven ability to design and implement scalable event frameworks and templates.Expertise in building advanced reporting models for event performance and ROI.Passion for innovation and creative strategy with a focus on results.Skilled collaborator with experience working directly with senior executives and partner marketing teams.Demonstrated excellence in program management and leading large-scale in-person and virtual events; adaptable and proactive under pressure.Strong understanding of marketing strategy and event planning principles.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; able to lead and influence cross-functional teams.Meticulous attention to detail and highly organized.Knowledge of health, safety, and accessibility regulations (preferred).Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.Preferred:Agency experience preferred, Telecom background B2B Marketing experience, event production, partner marketing and 8+ years of experience.CompensationThis information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location.
