DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Licensed Psychologist Manager for SCI at Laurel Highlands, you will have a vital role in shaping the institution‘s psychological services program. You will coordinate efforts across disciplines, develop innovative policies and procedures for existing programs, and lead the population psychiatric review team. By serving as a standing member of the clinical review team for suicides and attempted suicides, you will collaborate closely with psychiatry and medical staff while conducting psychological testing and evaluations of inmates. Your work will significantly impact the well-being and rehabilitation of those in your care, and you will be an integral part of a supportive and collaborative team.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment; 37.5 hour work week.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
- Salary: New employees to the commonwealth will start at the beginning salary of $86,299.00 before taxes.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Licensed Psychologist MH or Psychologist; or
- One year of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness, mental retardation or behavioral dysfunction.
Special Requirements:
Possession of a valid license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology or possession of a valid license to practice psychology as issued by another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board. Applicants with out-of-state licensure must obtain Pennsylvania licensure within one year of employment.
Other Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
