Come find out what Sheathing Technologies, Inc. has to offer you.As a Production Maintenance Technician (PMT) in our Morgan Hill, CA facility you will be responsible for:Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines & production equipment (including air compressors, pneumatic plumbing, electrical & custom equipment)Install or repair various facilities infrastructure equipment and support equipment including ductwork, piping, exhaust, wiring and HVAC.Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipmentHands-on troubleshooting and characterization of sophisticated mechanical & electro-mechanical systemsDevelop/improve working instructions and preventative maintenance documentsWorks closely with Production, QA and Engineering departmentsOperates machines for production or for R&D purposesAssist on R&D equipment & processesAssist engineers with process validation and design controlWork with engineers to ensure that applicable machines and measuring instruments are calibratedBe proactive & comply with safety regulationsQualifications:Education: Associate's Degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year College or technical trade school preferred; or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.Experience: 5 to 10 years in automation machine maintenance experience, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic preferredSkills:Knowledge in automation system, motion control and basic PLC programming, boiler and HVAC preferredKnowledge in power tools, manual mills, lathe, band saw, soldering and brazing copper pipes preferredAbility to properly use hand toolsDemonstrated effective verbal & written communication skillsProven problem-solving skills in a teamwork settingAbility to operate in a collaborative work environmentMust be able to adapt to rapidly changing situations, be flexible and open mindedPossess the ability to work overtime on short notice (minimum 2 hour notice)Motivated, self-driven and independent and can handle multiple jobs with minimal supervisionMS Office proficient (Excel, Word, Outlook)Hourly rate $27.00 to $35.00 per hour (depending on experience).
