We're seeking a dedicated HR professional to manage employee relations, training programs, and ensure compliance with organizational policies. This role is crucial in supporting our mission through effective human resources management and employee development.Pay Rate: $20 - 22.00/hr.Status: Full Time, Non-ExemptKey ResponsibilitiesHR Administration & Records ManagementMaintain comprehensive employee files including medical, personnel, terminated, and applicant recordsPerform ADP data entry for employee records, demographic changes, and benefit enrollmentsManage accurate payroll records and timesheet processing using HRIS systemProcess and engage in ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) accommodation requestsAdminister FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) processes including eligibility determination, documentation, and trackingHandle PLOA (Personal Leave of Absence) requests and documentationEnsure compliance with all leave policies and maintain confidential recordsEmployee Relations & SafetyInvestigate and document incident reports including injuries, accidents, and grievancesParticipate in Safety Committee meetings and support safety training programsCoordinate employee benefits and assist with registration and claimsAdminister Safe From Harm program including training and complianceTraining & DevelopmentImplement and conduct HR training for management and supervisory staffAssist with employee orientation and onboardingSupport leadership development and policy compliance initiativesAdvise management on personnel matters including recruitment and retentionQualificationsEducation & ExperienceAssociate degree and two years of experience in HR Management or Business Management preferredOffice management and supervision experience preferredKnowledge of workers compensation and OSHA regulations desiredExperience with ADP timekeeping software preferredSkills & AbilitiesStrong analytical and communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelAbility to interpret and implement HR policies and proceduresExcellence in problem-solving and organizational skillsStrong attention to detail and confidentialityWhat We OfferProfessional development opportunitiesMeaningful work in a mission-driven organizationSupportive team environmentComprehensive benefits packagePhysical RequirementsComputer work requiring manual dexterityAbility to lift and move up to 50 poundsClear speaking, hearing, and vision abilitiesWork EnvironmentProfessional office settingOccasional travel to Family Store locationsModerate noise levelsSome evening and weekend work may be requiredThe Salvation Army is an equal opportunity employer.
