Healthcare Clinical System Support Analyst

We are seeking an RN or certified medical professional who would like to transition into a Clinical Systems support role.
OVERVIEW:
The Clinical Systems Support Analyst acts as a liaison for the clinical staff and IT department. This person will help clinical staff with technical system issues, escalated issues to IT, as well as onboarding and training employees on using the electronic medical records software. We are seeking either a RN or license medical professional who is well-versed in medical terminology and who has experience, as a user, with healthcare clinical systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborates with IT Management and users to research, strategize, coordinate, and execute the integration of new applications; conducts training sessions for both new and existing applications; addresses application-related issues and generates reports; acts as a liaison between users and vendors to address concerns, requests, or improvements.
- Assists Director in crafting project plans, presentations, and application overviews as needed.
- Oversees and coordinates the scheduling of new projects, applications, enhancements, and user inquiries.
- Engages in system configuration and maintains a comprehensive understanding of workflows.
- Constructs, tests, and manages clinical system training environments, alongside developing training schedules within the learning management system.
- Conducts regular visits to clinical units.
- Provides ongoing support to users through training, troubleshooting, and guidance as necessary for existing applications.
- Delivers comprehensive overviews of both new and established applications to users and IT personnel.
- Develops and updates training materials tailored to clinical applications.
- Determines appropriate training levels for users and coordinates training schedules accordingly.
- Ensures users receive adequate training on clinical systems prior to accessing production environments.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of educational programs and implements improvements as needed.
- Customizes vendor lesson plans to suit end-user requirements and system configurations.
- Participates in relevant committees as required.
- Offers leadership and guidance to other Project Team members.
- Collaborates with IT colleagues and users to resolve issues in a timely manner, ensuring thorough documentation of problems and solutions.
- Submits reports to governmental agencies as necessary and within specified timeframes.
- Continuously advances professional development and stays updated on emerging technologies through reading and attendance at seminars.
- Applies customer service principles to daily tasks, including clear communication of service levels, provision of status updates, maintenance of high customer satisfaction, and creation of tailored solutions to meet customer needs.
- Demonstrates professionalism, respect, flexibility, knowledge, confidence, a positive demeanor, patience, and helpfulness in all interactions, aligning with Customer Service Performance Expectations.
- Adheres to established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance measures, safety protocols, environmental standards, and infection control guidelines; identifies policy gaps and develops necessary revisions to ensure completeness.
QUALFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 1+ years of prior clinical healthcare experience, either as a RN or licensed healthcare professional.
- Healthcare clinical unit experience required.
- Experience working with clinical systems as a user.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or related preferred.
- Great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency and knowledge of computer software.
- Strong administrative skills required.
- Speaks, reads and writes English to the extent required by the position.
- Excellent organizational skills, as well as oral and written communication skills required.
