Come and experience the passion and drive that makes Hollywood Feed what it is today.Job SummaryThe Sales Associate reports to the Store Manager and are tasked with performing various duties to serve customers and to keep stores running safely and efficiently to achieve a profitable store location and holding to Hollywood Feeds #1 Policy "Do what is right by the customer."Sales Associate Key ResponsibilitiesGreeting and assisting customers daily according to the Hollywood Feed customer service standards.Demonstrating the ability and knowledge to thoroughly explain the store products to best meet the pet and customer needs.Communicating openly and respectfully with supervisors and coworkers.Operating effectively both independently and as a part of a team.Expected to have open and weekend availability.Employees will be required to unload truck pallets and stock shelves.Expected to learn the Hollywood Feed point-of-sale system to:Check out customer purchasesCreate customer accountsOpen and close registersPerform other inventory management duties including inventories and cycle counts.Attend Hollywood Feed educational classes as scheduled.Expected to keep up with basic weekly store maintenance duties involving cleaning bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, dusting, creating displays, putting out new pricing, etc.Perform other duties as assigned.Required Skills & AbilitiesThe love and dedication to animals is an essential requirement for Hollywood Feed's culture.Excellent verbal communication skills.Excellent active listening skills.Excellent sales and customer service skills.Extensive knowledge of the store products.Ability to anticipate customer's needs.Ability to recommend store products to customers.Ability to operate or to quickly learn the store's point-of-sale system.Must have a valid driver's license and a minimum of 2 years driving experience. (This time frame can include learner's permit).EducationMust be at least 18 years of age or older.Physical RequirementsPhysically able to lift 40lbs repeatedly up to head height to stock shelves multiples times a day and unload delivery pallets.Physically able to continuously bend, kneel, push, pull, reach, and twist multiples times a day.Physically able to stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours.Physically able to climb ladders multiple times a day to put up and access products for customers.Will need to meet the requirements of our Safe Driving Policy and be willing to drive our company owned Same Day Delivery Vehicle.The above is designed to describe the general nature and scope of the job and is not an exhaustive listing of all duties, expectations or tasks and should not be taken as such.Hollywood Feed is an Equal Opportunity Workplace.
