Emergency Management SpecialistWe are seeking an Emergency Management Specialist to support our Washington, DC office. Candidate will coordinate emergency preparedness and response efforts with internal and external agencies, manage emergency planning and response activities, and maintain readiness of emergency operations equipment. Responsibilities also include supporting training and exercises related to radiological incident response.Emergency Management Specialists coordinate emergency preparedness response plans with external entities (e.g., military, state and local government, emergency responders) to integrate emergency management functions, perform emergency management functions (e.g., planning exercises, managing procedural matters, response activities) to support the operation of an emergency management program, and oversee the maintenance of emergency response equipment both inside and outside an Emergency Operations Center to ensure equipment is readily available to respond to a radiological incident.Additionally, they may develop training curriculum for emergency planning, preparedness, mitigation, response, or recovery operations.Required skills:7 years - 10 years of relevant experienceMust have active DoD Secret Clearance and ability to sustain onePreferred skills:Bachelor's degree10 or more years relevant experienceSpecialized experience must demonstrate the following:Utilizing and training personnel on the use of emergency operation center and command and control equipment and softwareAssisting with the planning of an Emergency Management exercise of various types and scope (e.g., table-top, functional and full scale exercises)Coordinating response and recovery operations with internal and external agencies.Pay Range: VTG's estimated starting pay range is $74,500-$110,080 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range. This position is contingent upon contract award.
