Job Title: Principal Scientist of Crystallization R & D

Position Reports to: VP of Cryallization R&D

This position is responsible for leading group or contributing individually to conduct solid form studies, crystallization process development, preformulation, crystallography particle engineering and/or coprocessing according to related regulatory guides. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not necessarily limited to, the items listed below.

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead group or contribute individually to conduct solid form studies, crystallization process development, preformulation, particle engineering, crystallography and/or coprocessing.

Coordinate cross functional scientific and technical discussions with supervisor, co-workers and clients to plan, execute and resolve issues.

Coordinate weekly client updates, ensure team member's weekly update and final reports submitted in a timely fashion.

Communicate candidly, clearly and timely with clients, management, peers and group members.

Lead idea generation for selective projects, quotes, and proposals to clients as well as successfully execute against accepted quotes and oversee group's scientific/technical objectives.

Coach project scientists and lead project progress to ensure successful execution of each project.

Implement new technologies, systems and ways of working to enhance both technical rigor and operational efficiency to better meet the demands of diverse drug developmental programs.

Learn continuously and apply fundamentals of science and engineering and simulation tools in effective solid form studies, crystallization process development, preformulation, particle engineering, crystallography and/or coprocessing, from experimental design to operation, data collection, result analysis and presentation.

Additional Responsibilities:

Comply with procedures, safety requirements, and company policies.

Carry out instrument/equipment development and maintenance.

Maintain appropriate documentation (records and lab notebooks).

Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
