Position Overview:
Thazen is seeking Cyber Systems Engineers and Support Specialists to join our team. This role
involves providing technical assistance to users of the Persistent Cyber Training
Environment (PCTE) platform. Key responsibilities include resolving user queries,
documenting technical issues, and ensuring adherence to operational service
standards.
In this position, you will monitor reported problems, conduct in-depth research, and
troubleshoot using product documentation to offer solutions. You will guide users on
issue resolution and escalate complex problems when necessary. Additionally, you will
support software upgrades, manage user profiles, and maintain user accounts to ensure
timely and high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize Jira Service Manager tools and vSphere to oversee and maintain the
PCTE platform, ensuring optimal performance.
All shifts available
Incorporate user feedback to improve the customer experience continuously.
Provide comprehensive support for systems across Unclassified, Sec/REL, and
Top-Secret security levels.
Essential Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective teamwork and
stakeholder support.
Attention to detail when entering user information to minimize the need for
corrections.
Ability to analyze real-world problems and implement solutions in line with
corporate guidelines and industry best practices.
Professional-level support for virtual environments, network functions, and other
technical challenges.
Adaptability to effectively meet customer needs and requirements.
Preferred Skills:
Flexibility to work different shifts and weekends as needed.
Experience in configuring, executing, and troubleshooting virtual environments
within PCTE.
Proficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Identity Management (IdM) and
Single Sign-On (SSO) using Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP).
Ability to interact effectively with vendors, users, customers, and developers to
understand and address evolving operational requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in IT, computer science, systems engineering, software
engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution. (Five years of
relevant experience may substitute for a degree.)
8570 Compliant IAT Level II or higher, with certifications such as Security+ or
CISSP required within six months of hire.
*In accordance with the specifications of a government contract, eligibility for this
position mandates U.S. Citizenship status and a Secret or Top Secret security
clearance. The precise security clearance requisites will be detailed in the
Government's Task Order.
