  • 1+ year payroll experience (ideally hourly employee experience)
  • Excel skills (formulas, spreadsheet editing)
  • Knowledge of processing liens, garnishments, etc.


Preferred:

  • Workday payroll experience
  • Customer service or communication skills


Job Summary/Description: Join our dynamic team at one of the nation's leading poultry producers as a Contract Payroll Coordinator. Your primary responsibilities will involve maintaining accurate employee payroll records and ensuring compliance with established standards. Key duties include auditing timekeeping records, administering garnishments, and handling hourly payroll services.


Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain employee/payroll records with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Audit timekeeping records to ensure compliance with standards, maintaining accurate time and attendance records.
  • Administer WGPS services, including processing routine administrative activities such as mail distribution and document filing.
  • Handle garnishments, including setup, data entry, and interpretation, adhering to established timelines and procedures.
  • Respond to inquiries from employees and external parties regarding garnishments, court notices, and deductions.
  • Interact with various departments and external entities to resolve issues and answer questions.
  • Stay updated with changing procedures and legislation related to payroll and garnishments.
  • Escalate non-routine inquiries and issues to the Manager as necessary.
  • Adhere to state and federal guidelines when processing garnishment orders.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payments to agencies for WGPS deductions from employees' pay.
  • Conduct routine audits of hourly payroll in Workday and process all hourly Employee Information Books (EIBs) from all locations.
  • Assist payroll coordinators at locations with questions and troubleshooting payroll processing issues.
  • Perform tasks such as direct deposit reversals, stop payments, and voided checks for the hourly population.
  • Execute special projects and duties as assigned.
