Position OverviewThe Test Technician Engineer plays a critical role in supporting manufacturing by executing, designing, and sustaining test procedures that validate products against design standards and quality requirements. This position encompasses configuring and conducting electrical, mechanical, and software testing, diagnosing issues, evaluating test results, and contributing to the enhancement of production testing systems.Core Responsibilities:Configure, run, and service production testing equipment and fixtures to confirm product functionality and performance standardsConduct root cause investigations of test anomalies and recommend solutions for identified issuesPartner with engineering teams across design, process, and quality disciplines to deploy new testing methodologies or refine current protocolsPerform calibration and upkeep of test instruments to maintain measurement accuracy and consistencyMaintain and revise testing documentation, including procedures, test reports, and operational instructionsSupport validation activities for newly developed products and manufacturing processesVerify that all testing activities adhere to internal quality standards, client specifications, and applicable regulationsProvide real-time technical support to production personnel by resolving test-related challengesEngage in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing programs to enhance testing efficiency and output qualityProvide training to operators and production staff on correct testing procedures and equipment operationDocument findings and compile comprehensive reports on collected testing dataExecute product evaluations for safety, capacity, regulatory compliance, and performance metricsUtilize precision measurement tools and instrumentsCompare test outcomes against established specificationsPropose enhancements to manufacturing and testing processesOversee equipment maintenance and recordkeepingVerify adherence to regulatory requirementsExecute modifications to testing protocols as necessaryCommunicate concerns and findings through proper organizational channelsWork Setting:This position operates within a production facility featuring appropriate lighting, climate control, and moderate ambient noise levels. The standard schedule is 40 hours across five days per week, with flexibility for additional hours based on operational requirements.Required Qualifications:EducationAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable technical disciplineProfessional Background2-5 years of manufacturing test experienceDemonstrated competency with automated testing equipment, data collection systems, and measurement instruments (such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies)Working knowledge of root cause methodologies and failure analysis techniquesTechnical CompetenciesAdvanced analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesAbility to interpret engineering blueprints, circuit diagrams, and testing specificationsProgramming or scripting experience (LabVIEW, Python, C#, etc.) preferredSuperior documentation and interpersonal communication abilitiesKnowledge of workplace safety protocols and electrostatic discharge (ESD) preventionPhysical Requirements and Working ConditionsCapability to maintain standing or seated positions for prolonged durations while operating testing equipmentPhysical capacity to lift objects weighing 25-40 pounds
