What We're Looking For


A Deployment Technician manages and oversees the successful implementation and integration of complex technological solutions within client environments, ensuring the seamless deployment and operation of software or hardware systems. This role involves collaborating with internal teams, conducting pre-deployment assessments, configuring and optimizing network infrastructure, providing technical support during the deployment process, troubleshooting any issues that arise, documenting deployment procedures, and evaluating post-deployment performance for potential improvements, ultimately contributing to the efficient and effective functioning of the organization's technology solutions for its clients.


Responsibilities


  • Coordinate and oversee the deployment of network and software solutions for clients, ensuring timely and efficient implementation.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to develop deployment plans, schedules, and strategies that align with client requirements and business objectives.
  • Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve deployment issues, ensuring the functionality and reliability of deployed solutions.
  • Provide remote technical support and training to clients, guiding them through the deployment process, assisting with installation guides and troubleshooting, and ensuring a smooth transition to the new system.
  • Document deployment procedures and best practices, contributing to developing standardized deployment processes and guidelines for future projects.
  • Execute scheduled installations in different platforms with precision and efficiency.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of Linux systems, VLAN configurations, and Fortinet products to ensure seamless integration during deployments.
  • Prioritize customer satisfaction by addressing their needs and concerns throughout the installation process.
  • Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve installation efficiency and network performance, leveraging expertise in Linux, VLANs, and Fortinet technologies.

Qualifications


  • Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, VLAN configurations, and Fortinet products preferred.
  • Proficiency in network configuration, system testing, and troubleshooting, with the ability to identify and resolve deployment-related issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment outcomes.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Education Or Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • CompTIA certification (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+) is preferred.
  • Experience providing remote guidance over the phone to technicians during installations.
  • Proven experience in deployment engineering or a related field, with a strong understanding of network infrastructure and software deployment processes.
