Medical Staffing CoordinatorWe are seeking a Medical Staffing Coordinator, sometimes referred to as a Clinical Staffing Coordinator, Clinical Scheduling Coordinator Credentialing & Quality Coordinator. The Medical Staffing Coordinator supports departments by developing and maintaining schedules in collaboration with the CNO and leadership, ensuring staffing levels align with patient care needs, labor agreements, and internal policy. The Medical Staffing Coordinator will manage daily staffing adjustments in real time, coordinate with leadership on staffing forecasts, and participate in position control meetings to optimize coverage and cost-effectiveness.Shifts Available: DaysEmployment Type: Part-Time (32 hours/Week) Hours: 8-hour 7:30am to 4:00pm (No weekends or holidays)Location: South Kansas City Surgicenter (Overland Park, KS) and St. Mary' Surgery Center (Blue Springs, MO)Here are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare:Health, dental, and vision insurance optionsPaid vacation, sick time, and holidaysBereavement leave, FMLA, and other leave optionsEmployer 401K optionsTuition reimbursement optionsLife, disability, and other insurance optionsMany other amazing benefitsResponsibilities:If you have experience with credentialing software such as MD Staff, Medallion, Modio Health, Qgenda, Symplr Provider, MedTrainer Credentialing, or other credentialing software, you are encouraged to applyEssential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):Create, update, and manage schedules for Nursing Administration and other clinical and non-clinical staff, coordinating time-off requests, shift exchanges, and availability to maintain seamless 24/7 coverageMonitor patient census levels and acuity throughout the day to adjust staffing levels appropriately, reassign staff across units, and respond quickly to call-outs or unexpected absences to maintain safe patient careEnsure schedules are compliant with hospital policies, union contracts, state labor laws, and credentialing standards so that all staff are working within their licensure and competency requirementsServe as a key liaison between nursing leadership and frontline staff, communicating staffing changes, identifying shortages, and notifying managers of overtime or additional coverage needsMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of staff hours, absences, overtime, and leave, collaborate closely with HR and payroll teams to ensure accuracy in timekeeping and pay processesFacilitate all aspects of credentialing, including applications, reappointments, proctoring, and competenciesQualifications:Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:High School Diploma or EquivalentMust be proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPointAdditional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Must have strong computer, communication, and writing skillsMust exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to learnAdditional Qualifications That Are a Plus:Associates degree preferred or equivalent education/experienceCertified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferredMinimum of 3 years technical/administrative experience, Medical Staff Services Department and/or acute care hospital experience preferredKnowledge of medical terminology and medical staff services and/or acute care hospital experience, preferred
