Cyber Mission Specialist

The Opportunity:

As a cyber mission specialist, you understand the value of hunt-forward operations, and you know that battles are won in the grey. At Booz Allen, you can use your cyberspace operations expertise to create solutions that will be executed on a worldwide stage. We‘re looking for a seasoned cyber mission specialist like you to apply your experience with cybersecurity defense practices and impact our nation‘s defense.

In this role, you‘ll lead a team of professionals as they use cyberspace capabilities to evaluate potential weaknesses, as well as the effectiveness of mitigations for cyber security solutions. You will leverage cyberspace operations systems to aggregate threat feeds that inform briefings for senior leadership aligned to our customer‘s mission areas.

This is an opportunity to use your research and analysis expertise to adequately assess and inform operators, senior leadership, and commanders on dynamic adversarial tactics, techniques, and procedures. Your role will be vital in the development of operations plans to support command and control.

You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience in federal government, professional services, or federal consulting, including briefing clients or team members on technical, policy, and functional issues

  • 8+ years of experience supporting DoD-level cybersecurity defense teams

  • 4+ years of experience writing or drafting executive or formal senior-level correspondence or material to support decision-making

  • 2+ years of experience analyzing drafts of organization-level technical policies and strategies

  • Experience withDefensive Cyber Operations (DCO) or Offensive Cyber Operations(OCO)

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity defense practices

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including security control implementation, vulnerability identification and remediation, or threat hunting

  • Ability to interpret cybersecurity documentation, including hardware,software inventories, and security plans

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor‘s degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual‘s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen‘s total compensation package for employees.
