$65 - $80k based on experience

Onsite position, job location: Edwardsville, KS


Overview:


This role will coordinate domestic and global freight and logistic operations of field erected cooling tower materials and construction equipment support shipments.


Main Duties:


- Plan and schedule shipments both import and export for materials and equipment to ensure timely project deliveries.

- Collaborate with 3PL carriers, suppliers, warehouses, and job sites to optimize transportation processes.

- Prepare and manage shipping documents, including bills of lading and customs paperwork as required.

- Ensure strict compliance with local and international shipping regulations.

- Monitor the movement of shipments, providing real-time updates to project stakeholders.

- Address and resolve logistics issues promptly, ensuring minimal impact on construction timelines.

- Collaborate with internal teams to find effective solutions to logistics challenges.

- Work with freight partners and optimize route planning to manage and reduce freight costs.

- Maintain accurate records of shipping expenses and identify areas for cost savings.


Qualifications:


- 4+ years of demonstrated experience in Logistics and/or Supply Chain related roles, bonus if there is exposure or experience with Construction logistics.

- Strong knowledge of freight operations, and shipping regulations.

- Previous experience working with international shipments and knowledge of customs procedures.

- Awareness of US and International ocean and air import and export laws and regulations.

- Ability to work well in a highly interactive team including Project Management, Procurement, and Construction.

- Adherence to schedule requirements including extended hours as needed during high demand / critical time.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

- Problem solving skills (identify issues and propose solutions).

- Sense of urgency and highly responsive with ability to manage multiple demands.
