Job Description A Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing direct patient care to adult patients before, during, and after surgery, including assessing their health, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, managing wound care, educating patients about their procedures, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans; essentially managing the care of patients with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions in a hospital setting. RN Med Surg The RN provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Tasks and responsibilities include assessing plans and evaluates patient care needs. Qualifications Current FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire. Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider. Candidates need to have ACUTE CARE RN EXPERIENCE (it doesn't need to be in the Med-Surg) * The ACUTE CARE RN EXPERIENCE needs to be within 3 years UNLESS THE CANDIDATE HAS SEVERAL YEARS OF OF RN EXPERIENCE THEN IT CAN BE WITHIN THE LAST 5 YEARS Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Customer service abilities including effective listening skills. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment. Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.
