Assistant Global Merchandise Manager Us Sports Bu (Football, Baseball, Softball)As the Assistant Global Merchandise Manager of the US Sports BU (Football, Baseball, Softball) you will play a pivotal role growing the US Sports presence and performance in all Global Markets. Your primary objective will be to support strategic business imperatives and help drive growth for adidas as a leading sports brand. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of strategy for seasonal sell-ins. You will help ensure that the product range is aligned with market needs. This individual is tasked with supporting a category Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy and assisting in the execution. This role requires a strong consumer focus on all sport consumers Youth to Pro.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport category initiatives to meet key commercial goals for US SportsSupport market / account facing milestone meetings for specific category areas (e.g., FTW, APP)Assist the category through key Global milestone deliverables focused on THO and GTMSOSupport creation of Global Merch sell-in documentsSupport all business conversations for specific category areas (e.g., FTW, APP) with markets and accountsSupport the implementation of seasonal GTM plans towards markets and channelsHelp manage category range architecture for seasonal specific category areas (e.g., FTW, APP) incl. system input and accuracyIdentify opportunities to streamline merchandising workflows, improve data accuracy, and strengthen communication across global channelsContribute to quantitative and qualitative data analysis, ensuring alignment with consumer demand, seasonal trends and financial targetsHelp conduct category insights and analytics incl. market/consumer/competitor insights and sales analysis and leverage for planningAssist in go to market planning and execution of global merchandising strategiesManage sample process, incl. coordination, budget definition, ordering, delivery follow up and follow up documents for all internal and customer facing milestonesManage sell-in photo shoots (product and on model comms articles)Key RelationshipsGTM teamsCategory Creation & MarketingGlobal FinanceMarket Category teamMarket FinanceKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesProficiency with MS applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other computer software (Internet, POS Systems, etc.)Fluent in English. An additional European language is an advantage.Highly Organized and self-starterAbility to translate insights to actionsAnalytical skills, be solution driven and results orientatedStorytelling capability, presentation, and communication skillsRequisite Education and Experience / Minimum QualificationsUniversity degree or equivalent education required2+ years of relevant experience in/transferable to the sports industry linked to GTM functions, e.g., retail, merchandising, buying, e-comPrevious global, wholesale, retail, digital/ecom, vertical experience in merchandising, buyingExperience in Product Creation, Supply Chain, Visual Merchandising, Planning & Allocation is a plusAt adidas we offer a hybrid work policy which requires attendance in the office Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday each week.
