Responsibilities Our Kforce client, a growing wealth management firm is seeking to hire a Senior Payroll Specialist to join their team in the Saint Louis, (MO) area.Summary:In this role, you will oversee and process all aspects of financial advisor payroll, with a focus on strategic planning, compliance, and process improvement. You will act as a subject matter expert on advisor compensation and commission plans, collaborating across departments to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance. This position requires advanced accounting knowledge, strong analytical skills, and compensation strategies. This client offers salary and great benefits, a 401(k) plan, free gym on-site, profit sharing, parking, and flexibility.Key Responsibilities: Senior Payroll Specialist will lead monthly payroll for financial advisors, ensuring accurate commission and bonus payments Design and implement process improvements and automation Serve as liaison for advisor compensation matters Conduct audits and risk assessments As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will analyze compensation trends and prepare reports Manage complex commission scenarios (buyouts, recoveries, transitions) Mentor junior staff and ensure compliance with payroll regulations Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or 11+ years equivalent experience 7+ years of payroll experience with commission-based compensation (securities industry preferred) Project management experience Excellent communication and collaboration Advanced MS Office and payroll systems (ADP preferred) Strong accounting, analytical, and problem-solving skills The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
