Together, we create our culture by living our values in our day-to-day interactions with our patients and teammates.Job Summary:Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care activities.Essential Functions:Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possibly taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and outputAssists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulationReports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staffAssists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and orderlyAssists in the admission, transfer and discharge of patientsQualifications:Education:High school diploma or equivalent, RequiredLicensure/Certification/Registration:Basic Life Support (BLS), RequiredNursing Assistant Certification, PreferredExperience:One year acute care experience, PreferredSkills:Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervisionMust be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate actionAble to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writingExhibits knowledge of the proper use of Language Line
