This role is responsible for managing cybersecurity risk, supporting system authorization and accreditation efforts, and ensuring compliance with DoD security policies and standards. The ISSM will work closely with engineering, program management, and government stakeholders to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems operating in regulated environments.Position ResponsibilitiesPerform vulnerability and risk assessment analysis to support Wideband Control software, cybersecurity audits, system accreditation, and program protection activitiesConduct technical evaluations of information system designs with a focus on security controls and accreditation requirementsMonitor, evaluate, and maintain systems and procedures to safeguard information systems, networks, and databasesInterpret, assess, and apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)Perform duties as an Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) administratorReview subsystem cybersecurity documentation to ensure compliance and accuracySupport ongoing RMF activities and continuous monitoring effortsTravel is requiredQualificationsCurrent and active DoD Top Secret clearance4-6 years of professional cybersecurity experienceStrong knowledge of hardware and software installation, testing, and operationsExperience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Domain Name System (DNS)Hands-on experience with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)Understanding of Host Based Security System (HBSS)Knowledge of IP networking, switches, and network security fundamentalsExperience implementing and interpreting Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to reprioritize tasks quickly and clearly communicate the impact of changeQuick learner who is creative, resourceful, and capable of working independently and as part of a teamDesired QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related fieldPrior DoD experience or military trainingDISA certification for Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)Company BenefitsAt Nexagen, we believe in taking care of our team from day one.
