This position is in Cargill's protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.The Production Supervisor will provide strategic operational oversight for designated production areas in the Dayton facility, overseeing a moderate degree of complexity. In this role, you will oversee and hold a designated area accountable to standards for safety, quality, operational effectiveness, and financial performance.Key Accountabilities:Execute routine operations of designated areas, ensuring direct reports are following policies and procedures related to employee, food safety, and environmental complianceMonitor production outcomes, quantity, and quality to ensure customer and food safety requirements are within specificationsPartner with peer production supervisors to meet customer specifications and timelinesAdminister a department production budget by executing purchase orders and ensuring timely payment of invoicesDevelop operational plans and monitor routine operations across designated departments, processes, and shiftsDevelop, supervise, and provide coaching to direct reports including coaching company core values and guiding principlesResponsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions for your direct reports as necessaryOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employerBachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experienceMinimum of one year of related work experiencePreferred Qualifications:One year of supervisory experienceExperience working in a food and/or poultry processing environmentBilingual in English/Spanish or English/any other languageExperience utilizing SAP and/or IPFS systemsExperience applying lean manufacturing principles and pursuing continuous improvement in a manufacturing environmentLocation: Dayton, VARelocation: Relocation may be provided for eligible candidatesEqual Opportunity Employer, including Disability/Vet
