Logistics SpecialistThe Logistics Specialist is responsible for leading and coordinating international trade operations, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations for import and export moves. This role involves working closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal departments to ensure the timely and most appropriate movement of goods across international borders, as well as supporting the warehouse functions on-site. Key Performance Indicators include efficient and accurate shipments, compliance with regulations and legislation, customs delays and related remedies, reporting with consistency and accuracy, freight cost decisions based on business needs and budget expectations, and adherence to all company compliance requirements.Key Accountabilities include organizing and reviewing the prompt shipment of Sinclair products and materials, utilizing approved carriers and the most appropriate mode of transport, to meet or exceed internal and external customers' delivery expectations and Sinclair's business needs. The role also involves coordinating the import and export of goods, monitoring changes in international trade laws and regulations, gathering and analyzing logistics data, addressing routine and unexpected disruptions in the supply chain, and supporting the timely and accurate movement of materials within the warehouse.Key Duties and Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing shipping documents, monitoring shipments, resolving issues related to customs clearance, gathering and analyzing logistics data, creating and maintaining databases and spreadsheets with logistics data, developing and implementing logistics KPI's, overseeing the carrier freight claim process, prioritizing and planning shipments, processing sales orders, and acting as backup for the Logistics Manager.Skills required for this role include logistics, inventory, supply chain, transportation, freight, data entry, dispatch, SAP, third-party logistics, Microsoft Office, shipping and receiving, order entry, Microsoft Excel, negotiation, ERP, import, production, purchasing, planner, operation, intermodal, inventory control, ERP system, inventory management, export, Excel database, Outlook, shipment, freight forwarder, purchase order, logistics support, labeling, international shipping, bill of lading, Excel data entry, procurement, materials management, administration, data analysis, packing, email, North America, harmonized systems, customs compliance, customs brokerage, customs law, customs records databases, and tariff databases.Top skills include logistics, additional skills and qualifications such as 3+ years of experience and knowledge of international import/export practices, experience in supply chain or logistics, vendor management experience, experience with transactional work in ERP systems, experience with JD Edwards ERP system, experience with continuous improvement and/or project management, and previous experience with query database functionality.This is a permanent position based out of Fresno, CA, with a pay range of $75,000.00 - $95,000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
