Caterpillar's company strategy includes sustainability as one of four focus areas and IPSD is engaged and actively preparing green energy solutions for the future.Job SummaryWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team in San Antonio, Texas as a Logistics Analyst Lead for the Industrial Power Systems Division. As an analyst, you will support our Supply Chain operations, by monitoring and analyzing production run times to identify potential delays in product shipment. In this role, you will serve as the communication link between operations and customers, ensuring timely updates on delivery schedules and proactively address disruptions. In addition, you will develop a strong understanding of both internal and external conveyance processes to optimize material flow, support on-time delivery, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.What You Will DoAnalyze production run rates throughout the facility and provide feedback to the customerCommunicate with transportation carriers and setup pickups and/or shipmentsComplete material reports to send out communication on material and functional area metricsCollaborate with other departments for problem-solving and process improvementChampion the adherence to safety guidelines as well as 5S, a system that helps organize and maintain a productive work environmentProvide process-related information and escalation of issues to the Logistics Manager, engineers, and/or maintenance departmentsUse manufacturing or inventory systems (i.e. PLEX and MAMM) for inventory finished goods reconciliationOperate sit down forklifts to move materials within the facilitySubmit and assist with Continuous Improvement (CI) initiativesFollow standard operating procedures and specific work instructionsExecute daily work assignments and special projects directed by the Logistics ManagerMaintain effective communication within the team and across departmentsAssisting in leading various team meetings for the assigned areaPerform other assigned dutiesWhat You Will HaveMinimum 1 years' experience in warehouse/supply chain work environment, leadership experience or relevant college degree or combination of experienceStrong interpersonal skills, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teamsPrevious experience with Standard Operating Procedures or Standard WorkAbility to read, write, and interpret documents in EnglishIntermediate experience with computers, inventory management software, and ExcelFlexibility in shift and/or value stream assignmentsInitiative and willingness to speak upWhat Would Make You a Top CandidateAt least 2-years' experience in inventory management or supply chain working environmentsPrevious experience in data analytics within a supply chain working environmentIntermediate understanding of internal and external conveyanceLean manufacturing experience or Six Sigma CertificationPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit or stand for prolonged periods of timeAbility to perform repetitive operationsAbility to lift up to 35 lbs.We are committed to ensuring a supportive and accommodating work environment for all employees.
